Herbes de Provence

Ingredients

2 teaspoons dried basil leaves coarsely ground
2 teaspoons dried thyme leaves coarsely ground
2 teaspoons dried summer savory leaves coarsely ground
2 teaspoons dried marjoram leaves coarsely ground
2 teaspoons dried rosemary leaves coarsely ground
2 teaspoons dried lavender leaves coarsely ground
Directions

Place in a small covered container, seal and shake to blend. Store in a cool dry place and used or replace within 6 months

Ways to glaze bread before baking are for a dark, shiny glaze; brush on one beaten egg yolk. For a light shiny glaze, beat the whole egg or brush on melted butter or margarine. For shine with no color, brush on one egg white beaten with 1 tablespoon water.
