Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

10oz semisweet chocolate, broken into pieces
1 tbsp powdered sugar
3 eggs, separated
2 tbsp brandy
8oz heavy whipping cream

Directions:

Melt chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot, simmering water. Once melted remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar, brandy, followed by the egg yolks. Whisk the egg whites in a bowl until stiff. Whisk cream until stiff, and fold into melted chocolate, then fold in the egg whites. Spoon the mixture into 4 individual dishes and chill for 1-2hrs or until set. serves 4

Helpful Tips:
Ripen green bananas or green tomatoes by wrapping them in a wet dishtowel and placing them in a paper sack.


A squirt of lemon juice in the water when cooking cauliflower will keep the cauliflower from discoloring.



Cook carrots and potatoes and then mash them all together. This gives the potatoes-a light orange color and produces an entirely new flavor.
