Bridgend is a town situated in South Wales, its name in welsh is Pen-y-bont. The town’s name comes originally from the bridge that crossed the River Ogmore but the River Ewenny also passes through the town. Serviced offices, which are sometimes called business centres, have been extremely popular in the US for some years, with the concept moving to the UK recently. They offer a flexible, managed and more affordable way of moving your business into an office space. They can be found all over the UK, although currently they’re most prominent in London and Manchester.

Serviced offices will usually house numerous different companies, proving them with office space that’s usually full equipped with telephone and line, furniture, internet access, bathroom facilities and kitchen facilities. You will also usually have the use of a reception and receptionist who will forward calls for your company, a security team and general building and infrastructure support (IT, cleaners, etc). What’s so appealing about serviced offices, is you aren’t required to pay extra for this level of support; you only have to pay your monthly rent, everything else is inclusive. This means you don’t have the overheads connected with a more conventional office, whist still enjoying the same perks.

Serviced offices are great for small businesses as they allow an opportunity to grow without having to commit to a long term package, but they’re not only suitable for smaller companies. For a larger-scale business it can be perfect if they need extra, external office space for a specific project, overflow or just employee training.

To give you an idea of the pricing range in any given City, you can use Google. So let’s take London for example, to get an idea of the price range, benefits and looks of serviced offices in London, search for serviced offices Soho, serviced offices Victoria and serviced offices Paddington to have a look at some of the highest quality offices available on the current London market.

Serviced offices can be an extremely viable option for many different people, but are particularly good for small businesses and start-ups. A lot of people who run small businesses will do some from home, claiming they prefer it. However, home-based small businesses can only take you so far. You can’t hold client meetings at home, take on interns or present a genuine corporate image as long as you’re at home, whereas serviced offices offer you the option to do all of these things without having to make a large financial commitment.

I hope if dogs ever take over the world, and they chose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are some Chihuahuas with some good ideas...
